Greetings everyone,
I installed evothings workbench a while ago. I am unable to generate a key to connect to devices. Also, the login page is not loading. I think the workbench is unable to access internet. There are proxy servers in my college. Is there a way to set proxy to workbench. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
Unable to generate Key.
Re: Unable to generate Key.
Hi Shannu,
Unfortunately the 2.0 version of the Workbench needs internet access to be able to proxy between workbench and viewer (You don't need to login, but it makes it possible for us to remember your mobile viewers and your workbench).
You can still use version 1 however, which only need local wifi (https://evothings.com/previous-releases/)
Hope this helps,
PS

Hi!
The Workbench uses websockets to communicate with our "proxy" (not to be confused with your proxy server) which is what we call our cloud infrastructure. Generally proxy servers may have issues handling websockets, does this work for you:
https://websocketstest.com
...if that works then I would like to know which OS you are using. We haven't tested much running behind proxy servers but can look into it.
