Cordova Local-Notification Plugin

Hi,
I really like this plugin for cordova but I have a problem with it.
I need to do some work every day at fixed hour without showing activity( no sound and no icon).
The app will check some data on internet and eventually will show a notification to the user.
If the connection is not available it will try later again.

Is there a way for doing that?
I'm able to mute the notification but I don't want the icon/notification to be displayed.

It seems this might be possible to do on Android, by modifying the plugin's Receiver.onReceive() function. It seems to be impossible on iOS, except by using remote notifications.

Are you planning to add this option even it will work only for android?
