Sensortag values jitter jumpy jumping accelerameter

The values run up and down even when the Sensortag is at rest. I tried averaging the last 10 readings and I tried changing the period to /1 and /100 instead of /10 ( tisensortag-ble.js line 767).

Is there a way to dampen the readings? Is the reading accurate?

How does TI make the values not jittery in the Sensortag App? Where can I find the source code for the App?

There's always some jitter in analog sensors, but it shouldn't cause a lot of trouble...

If I were you, I'd try out our TI SensorTag Demo. It should illustrate, pretty well, how much/little jitter you have to deal with.
