Re: DFRobot Bluno board

Hi, I have no experience in working with Bluno (thinking of ordering one though, in order to reproduce your problem...). Could you kindly elaborate a bit more on your the setup? I assume for BLE scanning you have your Bluno advertising and your app is scanning/finding BLE peripheral devices successf...

Question about Bluetooth & BLE debugging and logging in iOS

Hi, We are working on an application for Android and iOS where an accessory device will be a dual mode Bluetooth Classic + BLE device. The main reason for using Bluetooth Classic is that we want to support also older Android devices (i.e. before v4.3). I assume this should be a quite common approach...

Re: Question about support for Bluetooth classic + BLE

Hi Micke!

Thanks a lot, it seems from the documentation that the Bluetooth plugin should be perfectly suited for my application.

Let me try out the new and experimental version of Evothings Client and come back later with status.

Re: Question about your Cordova-BLE plugin

Hi,

I made a quick search on this topic and found following: "Software generating the hexadecimal representation of a UUID shall not use upper case letters."
This I found here: http://www.itu.int/rec/T-REC-X.667-201210-I/en

Re: Question about your Cordova-BLE plugin

Hi, Regarding your 2nd question: My understanding is that there is currently no support for standard services & profiles defined by Bluetooth SIG such as e.g. Battery level, Heart rate Sensor etc, but the RFduino team is looking into this. If you are a member on Rfduino forum here is a link addr...

Question about support for Bluetooth classic + BLE

Hello Evothings team, I am planning to develop a cross platform iOS + Android mobile app where a smart phone should connect wirelessly using Bluetooth to a remote device which may be an setup based on an Arduino (or perhaps Raspberry Pi) and I was first thinking to use BLE only. However, since users...

Re: BLE Boards

Hi, I have only done some experiments using RFduino sofar, and I did not do any hands-on work with FemtoduinoBLE yet. Seems to me that both RFduino and FemtoduinoBLE are small size nice form factor boards, and I will try to order one FemtoduinoBLE as well. For the RFduino it's quite simple to get up...

Re: Initial feedback and a few questions

Hello Micke, I read somewhere that some BLE devices may chose to use private addresses (randomly generated addresses) instead of fixed addresses. So I suspect that StickNfind may have implemented such private address, where such address then would be used during advertising … Not sure, but I think t...

Re: Initial feedback and a few questions

Hello Micke! Thanks a lot. I have tried out the BLE scan example before, and today I did a few additional tests here using my LG Nexus 5 Android 4.4.2 device. I used a TI sensortag (upgraded with FW 1.4.0) and also two sticknfind out of the box The BLE scan example find them all, and present the TI ...
