Evothings

Hi there,

i have followed the startup steps and was not able to to run the Hello World app.
Env:
windows 8.1 64bits
Android Phone
Studio version: Evothings Studio 2.0.0 Beta 3
New user first installation

My steps:
1. Downloaded Evonthings Studio
2. Installed Evothings Viewer app on Android
3. Connected from Evothings Viewer to Evothings Workbench using the key from the Workbench - connected
4. Pressed Run on the Hello World application
5. The application got highlighted and nothing happened.
The application stay highlighted and seems frozen.
No error message is displayed

Workbench Status: ConnectedNot Logged In

Interesting, well, the steps you outline sounds perfectly correct so in my mind it should work. Perhaps you could chat with us at gitter.im/evothings/evothings ? Then we could try to figure it out.

Sure -will do it. I am now on gitter.im/evothings/evothings

Depending on where you install Evothings Workbench, anomalies can occur depending on access settings in the target folder.
Installing the Workbench outside of the default Applications folder can prove to be preferable.

We're currently working on an Installer software component, which will address these issues. E.g. if you don't have root privs
you'd be better off placing your projects in a directory where you have write access.
